What we do
Every surface on a property wants a different pressure, a different chemistry and a different order of operations. Here is exactly how we handle each one.
The decision we make first
This table is the whole trade in one page. Print it, take it to whoever else is quoting you, and ask them to fill in the middle column.
| Surface | Method | Working PSI | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vinyl / fiber cement siding | Soft wash | < 500 | Pressure drives water behind lap joints |
| Asphalt shingle roof | Soft wash | < 100 | Pressure strips granules and voids the warranty |
| Brick and stone | Soft wash | < 800 | Mortar joints erode long before the brick does |
| Poured concrete driveway | Pressure | 3,000–3,500 | Dense enough to take a surface cleaner |
| Paver walkway | Pressure | 1,800–2,400 | Higher pressure blows out the joint sand |
| Cedar / pressure-treated deck | Hybrid | 800–1,200 | Softwood furrows instantly under a rotary tip |
| Composite decking | Soft wash | < 600 | The cap layer scars and cannot be sanded |
| Painted trim and soffit | Soft wash | < 400 | Anything more lifts the paint film |
